DECEMBER Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to the December edition of the "Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  This month's stamp set is D1378 Notice the Details.  This month's Blog Hop has artwork featuring the December Stamp of the Month.  You have arrived here from Pamela O'Conner's Blog.

This stamp of the month said vintage to me so that is what I tried to accomplish with this card.  The size is 8" x 3.5" and I modeled it after Mojo Monday's sketch #113 except I stretched the sketch out to a longer type card.

Supplies:  Black, Garden Green, Bamboo CS; Black, Sorbet, Garden Green Inks; pattern paper from Twitterpated Paper Pack; Colonial White Ribbon; Just Bloooms Autumn Leaves; Edge Distressor; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Spellbinder Square and Long Rectangle Sets .

Advent Calendar

I saw this idea on someone's site a while back and had to make my own version for my two granddaughters. Each drawer is filled with things like candy, of course, but for Day 1 I have two Burts Beeswax chap lip sticks. My sweet little Hannah who is in second grade is losing her teeth (like second graders do) and she seems to bite her lips and has chapped lips a lot. And, Mikayla is old enough now that she doesn't eat the chap stick. So, I thought that would be a good way to start December. Other treats include hair bows/ribbons, nail polish for kids, lipstick. It was really fun to make for them. Each drawer has two of whatever the treat is so each girl gets half of what is in the drawer.

Supplies:  Evensong Papers; Olive CS, New England Ivy CS, Sizzix Matchbox Die

Warning Signs That You May Be a Scrapbooking Addict

You may be a scrapbooking addict:

1. If you buy a new pink swimsuit because it matches the pink photo mounting paper.

2.  If you refuse to take your child to the emergency room without grabbing your camera first.

3.  If have tried to explain the benefits of skipping meals to save more money for scrapbook supplies.

4.   If your idea of a dream date is a man who loves to hammer your eyelets and refill your Hermafix.

5.  If you try to glue your child's tooth back into his mouth because you want a better "before and after" page.

6.  If you think that you must take your scrapbook supplies with you for a romantic weekend away.

7.  If you own 8 different tools that cut a perfect circle.

8.  If you falsely report your child missing so that you can get the digital enhancements of how they'd look ten years from now from the police department.

9.  If you're the only one at a social gathering yelling, "Just one more photo, folks; I don't have enough for a two-page spread!

10.  If a regular sandwich is no longer acceptable--it must be cropped or cut with decorative edges.

11.  If you try to claim your album purchases as a medical expense because it's such good "therapy".

12.  If your three-year-old wants to know if her coloring book is "archival quality."

AND finally....

13.  If you write to the friendly folks at Cropper Hopper to suggest a 2000 square foot tote transportable only by tractor trailer.
