Christmas Card Workshop

This past week, I had my Christmas card workshop.  I used what was called "The One-Sheet-Wonder" that I found on Deb Valder's site:  http://www.stampladee.com.  As much as I love CTMH's beautiful Christmas paper, I fell in love with the jewel tones in the Sangria Paper kit.  Then match that up with very blingy gold embellishments and I think it makes for a wow-factor.  Here are the cards:

More Cricut Fun for Halloween

Well making the Halloween Mini Album was quite the challenge!  But then I found this most adorable Jack O'Lantern from SVG Cuts Haunted Forest kit. I was originally looking to make a witch's hat; however, when I saw this adorable pumpkin face on the Jack O'Lantern, I thought this would be so much more fun!!

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to import the .svg files into my Cricut Design Space program.  I did have a little trouble at first with the scoring lines but was able to figure this out.  I love my Pazzles Inspiration (which I first used to cut the scored pieces), but I love my new Cricut Explore (which is so much more quiet)!

The papers are from last year's CTMH Halloween papers called Scaredy Cat (of which I had a few clippings left over from the bulk papers).  So, my stamping group came by to make these for our October workshop.

Here's a closeup of the Pumpkin:

Next a close up of the Witches Hat (which is what I originally was looking for):

And next is a closeup of the flower on the Witch's hat.  It is made of 8 different types of flowers with the ends curled:

And a final look at that adorable little Jack o'Lantern:

Some of the patterns from SVG Cuts are so adorable and look so nice dressed up with CTMH papers!  Here is the recipe:

Scaredy Cat Bulk Papers (retired) (2 sheets)
Scaredy Cat compliments (retired)
Black Cardstock (3 sheets)
Black Bulk Flourishes (while supplies last)
Gold and Silver Sequins
Bulk black stars

I have added this to the Heart 2 Heart Boo Challenge!

Be sure to stayed tuned for some more Halloween fun!

CTMH Cricut and Halloween

I found a recipe for the most wonderful Halloween mini album created by the most talented graphic designer, Annette Green.  You can find instructions for this mini album from Annette HERE.  It took me a several days to set up that pages for cutting for your Cricut Explore in Cricut Design Studio, but finally got them all set up so that it used only one paper pack and everything was cut with the Cricut.  There are extra pages of black cardstock that are needed.  Also, my project didn't use the new Saffron papers.  I didn't like how it looked with these papers.

Here are the photos of this amazing mini album:

The supplied included the following:

Bulk Black Stars (you could get these from your consultant or me if you don't have one)
Bulk Black Flourishes (ditto)
Ribbon, Baker's Twine

I have added this to the Heart to Heart Cricut Capers - in using your Cricut with Close To My Heart!

My item is a tall 3.5" x 8" sized card. Note that I am still learning both my Cricuts (Cricut Create which takes cartridges) and Cricut Explore (which does not).  I loved this cute jar and flower from p. 2 of the cricut book.  I did a little coloring with color pencils on the jar and leave and stems.  Somehow, it just seems trickier to create with cutouts, but it is fun!

And here's a closer, detailed view. The flowers are not really tacked down and I've add some dimensional tape under some of the flowers.

Papers:  Wanderful WOTG; Gypsy, Crystal Blue, Smoothie, Flaxen, and White Daisy Cardstocks
